A New Begining...

Came back 2 days ago and it has been a very hectic one for me.. Been a Ahmad throughout the whole 2 days and its really tired ( straight fall asleep once in the bed, been a long time since I'm able to do so) And its really nice to be able to be back to celebrate this annual event, though we will be celebrating without one of our love ones, nevertheless it is still a very eventful day. It's nice to get a friend to call you the moment you step foot into this island (in this case, its Shiong, who reached that very day as well...) and the next moment, we are in Penang Cafe for a bowl of hot delicious Hokkien Mee~! And then the next moment another one ( this time its Ivan, who came back a long time ago~! earliest to reach among all of us..~!) asking me for movie...Fearless, but had already promised everyone to watch it on the 1st day of CNY, so I 'politely' rejected him. Hehe...

But what I want to say here is, no matter what happened to you, there's always something for you will be looking forward towards to, be it meeting up with your old friends, cousins, relatives for a cup of tea, movie, karaoke, shopping, whatever... (for my case, its football with all my Heng Tais) and no matter how tired you are, its worth all the energy. Welcome back everyone~! May you have an unforgetable Chinese New Year and let's hope it will be a new begining to everyone~! Gong Xi Fa Cai!!!

I'm back in Uni...

This is the first week i attended my class, after a long break. There's a lot of chaos as I weren't sure which section that i'm supposed to be in. There's a lot of running here and there everyday looking for the correct class, and there's even once i went into English and till the end only then i realised that my name wasn't in the attendance list. But it had been a good ones, fellow coursemate had been very helpful, don't mind me ringing them middle of the night asking for notes and the time for class the next day.

And I've to change into a new room cause the old ones flooded, had been raining all week long and the roof my room just started to leak. It's not really a bad thing after all I've shifted to 3rd floor (previously 5th and there's no lift) Not that much of walking up the stairs anymore.

And i received a sad news again from Ivan yesterday telling me that Shyi Wei's mum had just passed away yesterday in the afternoon. I were very shock with that news and felt very sorry for Shyi Wei and his family, I can fully understand his feeling for losing the most precious person in the world. Makes me learn that life is actually very fragile, nowadays i learned to appreciate things around me, say and treat them in the best ways so that I won't regret it when there something bad happened to me.

Stay tough Shyi Wei, you have to continue her legacy and may God always be with you.

The month of December had been a very eventful one for me. There are up but mostly down moments happening to me. I will always cherish the good moments and as for the bad one, will take it as an experience that will help me to become a stronger person. At these particular moment, it helps me realized the importance of having a bunch of true friends around you, friends that you might even have forgotten about them, to support you and lend a helping hand whenever you need them.

When both of the events struck together, it suddenly make me kind of difficult to breathe and if it wasn’t them, I’m not sure if I can actually went through all this. I’ve learned to appreciate the people around me nowadays, knowing that this relationship was so special that no amount of money could have bought that sincerity. Friends those are willing to spend the whole night accompanying and comforting you and helping you take care of other things and making sure that you are alright, I won’t trade any amount of money with this friendship for sure.

Lastly, to all my dear friends, you guys had been great, so as 2006 arrives; I wish to take this opportunity to wish you all the very best in this New Year ahead and hope that all your dreams will come true, and lastly, may our friendship last forever…

We have been to a paintball games recently at USM where they are having a trial to see the reception… We thought it might be fun as this is the first time its held in Penang and the timing is right too as all of us are back.
Together with Lee Ken and co, we managed to gather 17 people. When we were there, we are told that we need to buy extra ammo in order to get a free vest to wear, where got such nonsense wan~!

Well... better be prepared for the worse once u step into the battlefield

It started at 9am and we were divided into 4 groups. My group’s members are Shiong, Ivan and Jooi Hong. At first I thought that we will win this tournament easily as I’ve got a superstar Shiong in my group, cis… mana tau this RAMBO is always the 1st to go out~! Haha… But as a warning to my fellow friends out there, as fun as the game is, it is actuaklly quite dangerous... one of our friends, Wei Peng actually got shot in the near range and the bullet grazed through his neck. And a few more guys had bruises on different part of their body where they get shot.

But nevertheless, in the end of the day, it was very fun indeed and worth the money as each of us had to pay RM61.50 (and I paid 62 bucks =-( cis…) but for a lifetime experience, I think its worth all the money, though I have to berpuasa for the next 5 days… *sweat*

I can still remember that historic day fell on September 18th, the same morning where we had our beach volleyball semi-final rematch with Kolej Perdana, the team which are represented with 99% if not 100% of university team players and we had been done the day before by upsetting them on the 1st set and giving them the a hard time. The match had to be postponed on the next day due to the dark weather (it is suppose to be a one-day match and due to a long match it didn’t ends according to the schedule) The next day however, we got trashed~! A terrible one… probably due to lack of sleep I guess. We then stayed on for another 3-4th placing playoff against a team that are not suppose to be there but thanks to a good draw, we beat them easily…

First and foremost, have to give this credits to Shiong, for encouraging us to participate, if not we wouldn’t have join in the 8 teams tournament~!We were expecting 32 teams to be there but thank god, probably the other 24 teams were thinking the same thing as we always does “Ai yaa..wanna win ar? Come on La...Go look at your face in the mirror, where can win wan?”

In the end of the day, we didn’t regret being there~! (Duh…) We were unbeaten throughout the whole tournament and I’m proud to say that I’m actually quite good in dodging the ball… There’s one match where I’m left all alone against the runner-up team (which still got 4 players in the court) and guess what, I managed to beat them all~! It’s quite unbelievable, now I know how Owen felt when he single handedly win the FA Cup final for Liverpool in 2001 when they were playing against Arsenal. The feeling when all your teammates run over to hug you, I wonder whether there’s going to be another one in my life. =)

And lastly, the prize money, I had never won any bigger prize money than this one. Very satisfying but sometimes I think to myself, “Bloody hell, after all those tears and hard work in football for so many years and never had won anything and playing this game for the 1st time and won 4k, what the heck~!”

Still dreaming till today...whew, how i wish the numbers in the cheque belongs all to me =P

Apart from the prize money, it does taught me something, that in life, everything is possible and we are able to create miracle, as long as we don’t give up, This chapter will always remains in my lifetime story.

Recently i've been listening to Lee Hom latest album (its not that lastest after all.. i'm just a bit outdated) and fell in love with this song, I'm sure a lot of had already listen to it before, a Mandarin song with an English title.. FOREVER LOVE.
I first come to like it because of the music but then i found out that the song is quite meaningful, until i heard from my friend that Lee Hom actually wrote this song for his ex lover as a present for her wedding. I wonder how his current hubby will feel, whether he should be proud or shall he felt a threat when a heartthrob singer, well-known all over world actually send this song to his wife, you will understand what i mean when u look at the chorus... Trip to Gunung Ledang

I have been to a trip to Gunung Ledang (the 6th most difficult mountain in Malaysia) recently, as a part of my Co-curicular activities which is compulsory in order to get an A in this one credit subject. But i didn't grumble at all as i thought that it's a great experience to actually get to hike a mountain, as there's no mountain in Penang, where the highest peak is the Penang Hill. I didn't know that the word 'hill' and 'mountain' is so much diffrent, it sounds lame but for those first-timer they'll undestand what i said~! =P It's has been a great trip but course it can't be that fun without Shiong, the 'outsider' who are not suppose to be there as he's not taking the subject this semester, but i sneaked him into the group and its made easier as I'm the 'Pengarah' (Director?! well it actually mean the leader) of the expedition, menyalahgunakan kuasa~! but in the end, there're glad that this fella actually came, as i always know that he's a great help when it comes to this outdoor stuff.

We started our expedition by meeting up in the FAB (fakulti alam bina) carpark where its schedule at 7am. As usual, the malaysian time, the instructor only managed to start his speech at 8.30am. The journey from the UTM to Muar (where Gunung Ledang is situated) took us about 2 hrs. As soon as we reached, we are asked to list down the stuff we about to bring up to the peak, as we need to bring those stuff back down, including all the rubbishes. We had our lunch before we start our journey.

There's 6 CP (check point) from the base right up to the peak. On the 1st day, we'll be hiking up to CP4 and we'll be spending a night there. We took 4 hrs to reach our camping site and thoughout the journey, the waterfall were so beautiful and we can see boys and girls having so much fun together, splashing water, playing ball and I think to myself "this is what we've been missing back in pg~!"

One of the positive things of having malay girls in our group is...You Can Have A Great Meal~! No joke, they really care on the quality of food and the best thing is when they said "Fred, jangan malu-malu ya, cukup makan tak? Kalau tidak ambik sendiri k?" =) We continue our journey at 3am and we are told that there's 3 gruesome checkpoint we need to pass though, KFC (killer for climber), Gua Kambing and last but not least Batu Hampar. We took 5 hrs to reach the top, having a few pictures taken and then start hike back down to our campsite, took our lunch and then pack up and continue to hike down till back to the base. 10 hours of non-stop hiking~!

Look at the scene behind, this is what Penang is lacking of... how i wish i can have such an activities when i was young~!

The time is 4am while we were having a long rest, hate that cos that the main reason why we miss the sunrise~!

We thought we are at the peak, but its not, too bad, and we miss the sunrise~!

Huh..at last... time to let it go....~whisling~..... =P

Batu Hampa, well...the name just say it all...70 degree with just a rope~!

Can't believe that its that tough... I don't grumble that easily but this is really not an easy task`!

In the end, it was a tiring but nevertheless, the best hiking i've ever been to. In the end of the day, Shiong then asked me, "What's next? Gunung Tahan?" I just stand and stare at him, and pretend that i didn't hear him~!

Holiday is here again..and so is my post~!

JULY 30TH, that's the last time i actually been to my blog site. Been really lazy, well..due to some reasons:-

1. I don't have a personal comp over in my room
2. And even if i have one, there's no internet connection in my hostel
3. The only place where the 2 above is not a factor is when i'm at kean chew's house, but even so.. i don't have
the mood..hehe =P

so hopefully saya boleh dimaafkan with those 'good' reasons above. Haha.. Anyway, since the month-long holiday had already begun, i should update u guys about myself throughout these 3 months, it had been an eventful one i can say, a very enjoyable ones too. Haven't been this fun for quite some time already. And more importantly, i've learned the importance of having a group of great buddies who are always willing to be there to lend a helping hand whenever i need it, apart from money of course~! It has been a blessing to me that i've got such a wonderful friends, who does not really mind and still treated me the same good way like last time even though i've been 'away' for about a year.

Yang and Balai, i fully appreciate those sincere advises and solutions
Boon and Tiao, it has been great having you both around, in football and shopping respectively

The only word that i can say right now is 'Thank you' and hope i am able to do more to show how much i appreciate our friendship. I hope to spend more time with you guys throughout this holiday and hope we can get back to those good old days together~! Cheers..~!!

I would like to apologise to all my friends for not writing for so long. Well, it might be a reason but just to tell u guys that my hse have got no streamyx and u all have no clues how slow 52K is. I'm sure quite a number had already forgot the 'experience' of waiting for the comp to load. HAHA... So now that i'm back in Johore, promise that i will write more k? Though i've to come down to the office to use the comp ( I'm living the the 5th floor by the way and i've got no connection in my room) but promise will update u guys on my life here k? can't really write much today cos office's closing soon~! And i'm heading to the field soon, chinese cup coming so need to get myself fit again~! The Road Not Taken...

WHEW... after 2 long suffering, boring, lonely months in Johore, at last Fred is getting a long BREAK~! YIPPIE~!!!
Been waiting for this moment for a long time already, seeing all of your friends having fun back in island is really a terrible thing. So right from the beginning i already thought that i'll take the earliest bus that I can, so the moment i finish my last paper, Enviroment Chemistry (which is suppose to ends at 11.30am, but i sneaked out 45 minutes earlier, thank God its not that difficult) straight away ZOOM i went home to get all my luggages...not even the heavy downpours that time can stop me =) so I managed to get into the 11.45am bus to KL, cos there's no direct bus back to Penang till late in the evening.

I reached KL at 4.30pm and all is going according to plan, so i went up to the ticket counter (now its shifted to 1st floor due to renovation) to get my ticket. There's only 2 company I usually take, KONSORTIUM and KKKL. I first went up to Konsurtium and they told me that the earliest bus will be 5.30pm, I couldn't wait that long so I decided to go to the 2nd one, KKKL and that proved to be the turning point to my entire journey~! They told me that now they've got a seat for me but it will stops only at Butterworth, I took it without any hessitation, knowing that I am able to to reach PG 1 hour earlier~! But I didn't know that's the beginning of my nightmare~!

1st i couldn't find my bus, so I have to go up again to the counter (remember I told u that they've temporary shifted to a floor up). That 'kak' at the counter insisted that the bus is there and I didn't 'open' my eyes to see properly, so..down I went again (4 luggages is the main factor that causes my hand to blister~!) It's not there~! So, I went up again, and this process is repeated 3 times before I got fed up and started to speak more "politely" to that 'Kak'. At last, she admitted her mistakes and replace me with another bus, which I need to have another long walk (with the 4 luggages remember?) again to Maybank (opposite PUDU) and to my surprise, I'm the only one on the bus~! Knowing that no way they are going to just fetch one person back to PG, I knew that I should have take the 1st option given to me, 5.30pm Konsortium. By the way, the bus i'm taking is not even KKKL, its SE SUPER, remember this name friends, SE SUPER~!

So the bus started its journey at about 7.30pm. If that's not worse enough, the bus actually didn't go out straight to the highway, in fact, it went up to KLANG~! WAA... there that bus fella spent another hour there, so it actually take off at 9pm~! =( That time i knew that I'm not going to turn up in time to meet Jo on 12 (her bday's on the 28th) But the bus driver actually does gave me some hope, he's a MAD DRIVER~! the way he drives, maybe he should star the coming Initial-D movie. How fast? hmm...fast enough to throw me up and down~! hehe.. But then again, as I started to be hopeful, again its been dashed by the driver again, he stopped to eat at Tanjung Malim~! and there goes another 30 mins and that's the end of the story for me~!

I reached PG at around 12.30am, 8 hrs after i reach Johore...sad sad.. ='( Well, though I didn't get to use my guitar and sing a birthday song for Jo, at least she's still awake and I managed to pass the self made birthday card to her, consolation prize... I've learned a few lessons from this trip, and I guess you all can roughly figured out what it is.

But think back, at least I'm now safely back in my beloved home~! =)

By the way, HAPPY 21ST BIRTHDAY DARLING~! May you get all the things you ever wanted and thank you for EVERYTHING, you had made my world more COLOURFUL~!

It has been 3 days since i last post my blog. Have been really busy during that period of time, but i doubt that i'm going to be free from now on till the end of my semester. 2 assignments and a test that you need to acomplish in a week time (well, its actually my fault to leave it till that late, hehe..) is really something that you don't want to have it the 2nd time, (but it always still happen again the same old thing after some time) So i have to make sure that this's going to be the very last time for me~!

Just had my Enviroment Chemistry test just now. Don't think i did that well, so from tomorrow onwards i have to keep myself going, can't stay lazy like that anymore, to be honest, I haven't been really studying during this entire 2 months when i should have been, though its very difficult when you think that everyone's having their long break and you have to come back here and stuck in this 'ulu' place and doing the same routine everyday. Now that i've started to have the 'form', i must keep going...

Well, we had a BBQ last night, againnn.....~!! For the 3rd time d this week~! Had those leftover OTAK_OTAK~! Gosh..my neighbour must be wondering whether we are having a vacation here or short sem~! haha.. And for your info, the BBQ started at 1am~! yes, in the midnght, till 3am~! people tot that we must be crazy~! what a time for BBQ, thank god no one actually call the fire brigade... =)

Wesak Day is coming and it falls on this Sunday and since that I haven't been going to the temple so tot that its a good time for me to devote myself to go down to JB and to participate in the pocession (is the spelling right?) Its it comes in a good time too as my Finals will be next week~! hehe...

Going to stop here, hope that i will be able to write more often as after that there'll be no streamyx for me anymore and the normal 56k modem's speed sometimes its pretty frustrating, especially over in my place its connected on at the speed of 28.8k~! waa... 'kapala' really pusing~!!!

Oh, will like to take this opportunity to wish my my brother Eric Happy Belated Birthday (19th) and his girlfriend Fong Lee Happy Birthday (22nd). I wish both of them good health, happy always and may they get promoted soon! hehe..CHEERS~!

I actually didn't intend to drag that long in posting my 1st text here, its just that i'm been quite busy during the past few days, preparing for my Biochem test which was held last sat (well, even so, i don't think i did well) , then on that night itself we had a BBQ party & i'm the host~! So throughout the whole evening after i came back from the lab (have got another Enviroment Chemistry subject where we need to get the COD of the river water that we collected a week back and we have to spend 3 hrs in there.) My house's so messy that time, and i mean it, its really messy, its actually not my house, just a temporary house that we stay in during this short semester, cos it help save up a lot of cost, we just need to pay for water and electricity bill and we don't have to pay the house rental~! (thank you so much CAPT~!)

Okie, back to the topic, the reason its so messy its not because of the 'properties' belongs to the ppl who stays in the hostel because they are not allowed to leave their stuff in their room throughout the duration, so usually they will ask permission from their friends who stays outside of the uni to put all their belongings in their house. And its really a lot, one person can actually carry as many as 3 bags and plus some paper boxes~! and they have more than one 'friend'~! so u can roughly imagine all their 'properties' scattered around the living room, and for your infomation, there's currently 4 bikes sitting nicely in the living room, yup... 4 motobikes and 11 helmets! hmm..i should have this renting bike biz during this sem, at least can get some pocket money to spend.. =P haha~!

Back to the clearing part, i were alone cleaning for about 1 hr when the reinforcement arrived~! whew... cos before hand i've already asked a few coursemate to come help along as i might not have the strength to do it alone, and there comes 5 helpers, 4 girls and a guy, my ex-roomie~! There really lighten up my job a lot~! very nice ppl, straight ask for mop and broom once they reach, hard to find girls like them nowadays... they actually clear up more than needed~! =) think i will organise another party very soon~! haha...

I started lighting the fire at 6pm, hmm... it has been some time already since the last time i started a fire, haha... quite struggling oso, cos usually it's Jit Shiong's job, we'll usually help pass the charcoal to him only, now that he was back in pg, i've to do it all by myself.
Nearly fainted a few times, inhaling those carbon monoxide smoke accidentally, but it does bring up those old memories i had during my scouting life. Party suppose to start at 7pm but as usual, no one turned up until 8pm, everyone then started BBQ-ing and i were bz serving them thoughout the nite, but some of them was nice enough to offer their help. To tell you, what makes it so special that nite was it was the 1st time that i was actually manage to get close to my coursemate, talking and cracking jokes with them, after nearly 3 semester~! You might wonder why, well sometimes i wondered as well. But its actually i can't really speak good mandarin and that's the main barrier. For those who never been to the local uni, want to share this with you all, i'm not sure whether other places is the same, this was the biggest culture shock i had when my 1st week here (hehe..katak di bawah tempurung) make sure that u can speak mandarin if u wanted to have a lot of friends. I were the only 2 chinese in the course who can't speak mandarin, and its really tough~! most ppl would tried to avoid talking to you cos there are afraid that u might speak other language to them, english for example.. that's the reason i was so quiet in the class, i will always try ro use other languages to communicate with them, like cantonese (i learned it in the TV drama) and Hokkien (Johorian does speak Hokkien, though its a bit diff), even Malay sometimes~! =) Though until now, my mandarin command is still not good, but at least good enuf to speak a broken one to them and make them understand. That nite was diffrent~! i seems to able to talk to everyone~! and everyone seems enjoyed talking to me and not avoiding me~! We went on eating, joking, singing and in the end, some are even dancing~! (i'm one of them (= ) truthfully, i'm really happy that night and it was worth all the effort~! (Though after that i still need to clear up everything by myself~!)

Wow..i've wrote quite a lot~! didn't know that i can actually write that much.. were cracking my head thinking what i should write summore just now. Hehe.. i'm sure some ppl might have already left after reading halfway... or some might have fall asleep~! hehe... hmm..not bad oso hor, i never had a diary before so never know its quite fun oso to express your feeling by writing it out. Have to thank my darling dear for all the encouragement to start a blog~! Will stop here for today.. hope to write soon, but its just that my final is coming next week~! and i've got 2 more assignment to pass up this week, HELP...~!!!
